Senior Collections Specialist

A is a prestigious and rapidly growing law firm located in the heart of Wilmington, DE renowned for its commitment to excellence, integrity, and client satisfaction. We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Collections Specialist to join our finance team. This is a hybrid position, allowing flexibility with 3 days on-site and 2 days remote work.

Hybrid - 3 days on-site, 2 days remote

Location: Wilmington, DE

Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 per year

Responsibilities:

• Generating Invoices: Prepare and process accurate client invoices in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with client guidelines and billing policies.
• Client Communication: Interact with clients to address billing inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and provide exceptional customer service.
• Data Management: Maintain billing records, client information, and payment details accurately in the firm's billing system.
• Reporting: Generate and analyze billing reports for internal review, providing insights to improve billing processes and client satisfaction.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with attorneys, legal assistants, and other staff members to gather necessary billing information and resolve any billing-related issues.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in billing practices, maintaining confidentiality and integrity at all times.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of billing/collections experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
• Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively.
• Knowledge of legal billing guidelines and regulations is a plus.
