Are you an experienced, results-driven property accounting professional? Would you like to join a team of people who work hard and have fun? If so, Real Capital Operations LLC is looking to hire an experienced Staff Accountant to join our corporate accounting team in Winter Garden, FL.

This entry/mid-level, data-driven role starts at $60,000 annually based on experience. Compensation is reviewed often, and our accounting team is structured to grow from within as the platform expands. A DAY IN THE LIFE

As a Staff Accountant, you are responsible for preparing and closing financial entries for monthly review, completing bank account and balance sheet reconciliations daily, and analyzing/reviewing general ledger accounts to prepare for audits. Using strong attention to detail, organization, and prioritization skills, you will contribute to achieving 100% accuracy for all financial reporting to the business. Day to day, you will:

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and prepaid amortization for monthly close across multiple legal entities
• Complete daily bank reconciliations and monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including intercompany accounts
• Maintain fixed asset, prepaid, and construction-in-progress schedules, including depreciation roll-forwards
• Review general ledger activity for coding accuracy and research variances at the property and entity level
• Support month-end reporting packages, annual audit requests, and lender or investor reporting
• Partner with operations, property management, and accounts payable teams to resolve coding and billing questions

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A STAFF ACCOUNTANT

• 2+ years of progressive, full-cycle accounting experience
• BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Experience with Microsoft Great Plains (GP) preferred
• AI software experience, specifically Claude CoWork
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Office suite
• Strong data analytics, computer, and typing skills
• Experience with multi-entity and/or multi-location accounting is strongly preferred
• Comfortable working to a firm monthly close calendar across several entity sets
• Experience with pivot tables and lookups

Familiarity with commercial real estate, construction/development, or multi-family/multi-unit accounting is a plus but not required. You’ll need to work independently with confidence, meeting all assigned deadlines on or before due dates with minimal errors. Also, a team player, collaborator, and willing to learn.

WORK SCHEDULE

This accounting position is full-time and onsite at our Winter Garden, FL corporate office, Monday through Friday. Our typical office hours are between 8:30am - 6:00pm.
