Join a busy family and general practice clinic as a Medical Assistant supporting both front- and back-office operations. This role works within a cross-trained clinic staff, with dedicated front- and back-office teams and one assigned medical assistant per provider. The Medical Assistant will support routine primary-care procedures, immunizations, injections, and Spanish-speaking patients while reporting to the practice manager, clinic administrator, and assigned physician.
Responsibilities
- Complete patient intake, medical histories, vital signs, and medication reconciliation.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals.
- Prepare patients and exam rooms for routine primary-care procedures.
- Support immunizations, injections, and specimen collection.
- Document patient information accurately in EMR/EHR systems.
- Provide patient education and phone triage.
- Assist with billing support and front-office activities.
- Provide bilingual support for Spanish-speaking patients.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 1 year of medical assisting experience.
- Medical Assistant diploma or certificate.
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems.
- Bilingual communication skills, including Spanish.
