FedEx Delivery Driver

Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused delivery professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting packages safely and efficiently while providing a positive experience for customers along the way. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Pick up, sort, load, and deliver packages in a timely and safe manner
Follow assigned routes and complete deliveries according to schedule
Operate delivery vehicles responsibly and in compliance with traffic laws and company policies
Verify shipment information and ensure accurate package handling
Provide courteous and professional service to customers during deliveries and pickups
Inspect vehicles before and after routes and report any maintenance or safety concerns
Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and proof of delivery documentation
Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members regarding route status or delivery issues
Handle packages of varying sizes and weights up to 150lbs with care

Qualifications

Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, must have or be willing to obtain Chauffeur's License
Ability to safely operate a delivery vehicle and follow all applicable regulations
Strong time-management and organizational skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions on the route
Comfort with physical activity, including lifting and carrying packages as needed
Basic technology skills for using handheld devices, GPS, and delivery applications
Reliable attendance and a strong commitment to safety and professionalism
Must be 21 years old or more
Must have or be willing to obtain a Chauffeur's License

Preferred Experience

Previous experience in delivery, logistics, transportation, or a related field
Familiarity with route planning and package handling procedures
Experience providing service in a customer-facing role
