The Swing Shift Custodial Worker is a full-time staff member of University Housing who is responsible for the quality of living in a designated residence hall(s) at the University of South Carolina. Hours for this position are 4:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.

Primary duties:

• Maintains wood, ceramic tile, cement, brick, and linoleum floors
• Responds to emergencies to include extracting water from floors and carpeted areas during flooding in order to prevent water damage
• Assists with the preparation for and clean-up of University special events
• Applies total quality management/continuous improvement principles and processes

This position is designated as essential personnel during inclement/hazardous weather and other emergencies.

Qualifications: 1 year related experience or equivalency

Salary: $16.52/hour plus $1/hour shift differential

Location: Columbia, SC

Part/Full Time: Full Time

Hours per Week: 40

Work Schedule: Work schedule: Wednesday through Sunday 4:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the department.
