PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT (PTA) | CONTRACT ASSIGNMENT JOB OVERVIEW

Seeking a motivated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a contract opportunity in a rehabilitation and skilled nursing setting. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans, assist patients in achieving rehabilitation goals, and help improve mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional independence.

GUARANTEED HOURS & PAY

• Guaranteed Hours: 35 Hours Per Week
• Pay Rate: $40.20 - $46.90 per hour

REQUIREMENTS

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License in good standing
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Previous experience in rehabilitation, skilled nursing, outpatient, home health, or acute care settings preferred
• Strong patient care and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques, therapeutic exercises, and mobility training
• Commitment to patient-centered care and positive clinical outcomes

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and functional activities
• Monitor patient progress and communicate findings to the Physical Therapist
• Provide gait training, balance training, transfer training, and strengthening exercises
• Educate patients and caregivers regarding therapy programs and home exercises
• Maintain accurate and timely treatment documentation
• Ensure patient safety during all therapeutic activities
• Collaborate with therapists, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
• Assist patients in achieving maximum functional independence and rehabilitation goals

• Guaranteed 35 hours per week
• Competitive pay rate of $40.20 - $46.90 per hour
