Ag Equipment Repair Technician

Job Description

Gpac is working with a leading crop production company committed to sustainable practices and efficient agricultural operations. As they continue to grow, they are looking for a skilled Agricultural Equipment Technician to help maintain and service the machinery that keeps their production thriving-from planting to harvest and everything in between.


Position Summary


The Agricultural Equipment Technician will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of a variety of ag equipment, including tractors, combines, sprayers, irrigation systems, and other farm-related machinery. This role ensures operational readiness and supports the farm team in delivering high-quality results in a timely and safe manner.


Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on agricultural equipment
  
  
• Perform routine maintenance and seasonal prep on machinery
  
  
• Maintain service records and document repairs accurately
  
  
• Work closely with farm managers and operators to ensure timely service and minimal downtime
  
  
• Operate equipment for testing and calibration purposes
  
  
• Order and manage inventory of parts and tools as needed
  
  
• Ensure safety protocols are followed in all repair and maintenance activities
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or certifications preferred)
  
  
• 2+ years of experience maintaining agricultural or heavy equipment
  
  
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
  
  
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  
  
• CDL or willingness to obtain (preferred)
  
  
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  
  
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying conditions
