Our organization is a physician-led multispecialty group comprising over 650 providers, and we are excited to present a full-time opportunity for a Hospitalist to join our team in Nampa, Idaho. This position is part of a regional network that includes 32 physicians and 12 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) based in Boise. The Nampa Hospitalist team, consisting of 11 providers, oversees a high-acuity medical service at a community hospital with 106 beds (set to expand to 224 beds). The facility is recognized as a Level III Trauma Center and holds Time Sensitive Emergency classifications for Stroke, Cardiology, and Trauma. Hospitalists serve as the primary admitting service for most primary care providers within our network. The work schedule typically involves 152 shifts annually, generally following a 7-on/7-off pattern with 12-hour shifts.

The patient demographic is composed of approximately 40% adults and 60% geriatric individuals. Hospitalists manage a variety of conditions, including congestive heart failure (CHF), pneumonia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pancreatitis, strokes, neurological disorders, geriatric fractures, and other general medical issues. On average, rounding includes around 18 patient encounters each day.

The ideal applicant will possess a robust background in internal medicine or family medicine, complemented by Hospitalist training, and a keen interest in fostering a practice within a growing multispecialty medical group. Additionally, Hospitalists are involved in the education of residents.

Support: Our Hospitalists benefit from 24/7 access to Anesthesia, Radiology, and Intensivists, along with a wide range of subspecialists from both our organization and the broader medical community.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
• Completion of an ACGME accredited residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with Hospitalist training is also acceptable.
• Board certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM) is required, or the candidate must obtain such certification within three years of employment.
• Eligibility to secure medical licensure in Idaho and Oregon; valid controlled substance registration with the Idaho Boards of Pharmacy and DEA; and the granting of privileges at the Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (SARMC).
