The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Brisbane, Australia.Key responsibilities:Ensure the preparation of strategic bids that comply established bidding processesEnsure the alignment with sales targets and the implementation of company policies/guidelines for the definition and preparation of all financial/commercial aspects of the assigned bidsEnsure the implementation of the assigned bid strategyEnsure all bidding risks are identified and consolidated according to the risk management procedureEnsure the continuous update of associated systems and databases for the assigned bidsSupport continuous improvement initiatives relating to bidding tools and processesSupport the Sales Manager in the definition of the bid preparation strategyProvide the Project Manager with comprehensive winning bid information/collateral to support project deliverySkills & Experience:Engineering Degree or equivalent technical/project management experience7+ years’ experience in a similar role; complex/high value bidsRelevant market and technical knowledgeExtensive knowledge and experience of pricing, costing, and commercial contractsFinancially literateWell-honed negotiation skillsHighly developed stakeholder management skillsExcellent communicator with an ability to positively influence outcomesKnowledge of software tools and technical systemsOutstanding planning and organisational skillsAbility to succeed in a fast paced, complex, culturally diverse environmentAt Hitachi Rail, we know that a diverse business is a sustainable business.
