Therapy - RRT

Respiratory Care Practitioner

Under general supervision, provide services for the Respiratory Therapy Department in a timely and efficient manner for all appropriate age levels. Administer therapeutic treatments as prescribed by attending medical staff. Record treatment information and patient responses in their computerized medical record. Act as a resource person to medical staff. Perform invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and monitoring of patients. Provide age-appropriate care to patients. Ensure that respiratory equipment is cleaned and maintained. Maintain necessary respiratory therapy records. Perform as part of the quick response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests. Perform other duties as assigned. Maintain good interpersonal skills and foster a positive working relationship with coworkers and staff. Interpret appropriate information to identify patient needs. Demonstrate clinical decision-making skills related to patient care as it pertains to the pulmonary and cardiac system. Ability to work under stress. Some computer skills are required.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of respiratory care experience in a critical care setting preferred.

License: Licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.

Certifications: Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care. Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support within 3 months of hire. The Registered Respiratory Therapist credential must be received within 12 months of hire.

Must-Have: Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program.
