Overview
Registered Nurse, PCU travel assignment in Atlanta, GA, starting 09/20/2026 for 16 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,707–$1,761 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: Day shift, 12-hour shifts on a 2x3 schedule. Setting: hospital-based medical step-down unit in the Atlanta area. This is a travel, temporary assignment through Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult patients in a medical step-down unit (approximately 16–20 beds) with a patient-to-nurse ratio up to 1:4.
- Administer medications, monitor responses, manage IV therapy, and interpret telemetry and lab results for patients with conditions such as sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, and respiratory compromise.
- Perform thorough patient assessments, update plans of care, document in the electronic medical record, and participate in daily rounds with the multidisciplinary team.
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition, assist with procedures, and collaborate with physicians, case managers, and respiratory therapists to optimize patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and safety considerations; participate in ongoing quality and safety initiatives and adhere to ACLS/BLS protocols.

Requirements
- Active RN license to practice in Georgia
- ACLS and BLS certifications current
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a medical step-down unit or PCU setting
- Ability to work in a high-acuity, 16–20 bed medical step-down unit with a 1:4 patient ratio
- Availability to start on 09/20/2026 for a 16-week travel assignment (travel modality)
