Attending Physician - Palliative Care

Tufts Medical Center, Boston, MA – The Division of Palliative Care in the Department of Medicine is seeking a highly energetic, motivated, and collegial physician to join our growing team. We are an academic medical center dedicated to clinical excellence, research, and education. The Division of Palliative Care uses an interdisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, social workers, chaplains, therapists, and case managers to provide comprehensive care. Responsibilities Provide direct clinical care in an inpatient consultative service and ambulatory settings at Tufts Medical Center and its collaborative physician network Participate in local, regional, and national innovative palliative care projects Work at the main teaching hospital of Tufts University School of Medicine where teaching and mentoring of medical students, residents, and fellows is a priority Potential for Hospice and Palliative Fellowship director role Interest in out‑patient palliative care and community outreach is welcome but not required Requirements Board‑eligible or Board‑certified in Hospice and Palliative Care medicine Outstanding teaching skills and an interest in research Team‑player who works cooperatively with a wide range of stakeholders and disciplines to champion world‑class research innovation Interest in building collaborative and interdisciplinary work Compensation Tufts Medicine offers a competitive salary commensurate with academic training and practice experience. An appointment at Tufts University School of Medicine will be offered based on academic qualifications. Compensation includes a substantive retirement plan, CME funds, time away, generous vacation and holiday policy. The salary range for this position is $230,491 to $261,334 annually, to be determined during the selection process based on experience, education, internal equity, and academic rank.
