Material Handler 2 Location: Irvine, California, United States of America. Job Description Performs manual and clerical shipping and/or receiving duties, usually utilizing computer. Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment. Tasks are performed with limited supervision and may include verifying quantity, weight, and conformance of materials, preparing records of shipping and bills of lading. Duties & Responsibilities Receive and ship all material, equipment, supplies, finished goods for Johnson & Johnson MedTech site utilizing SAP and JDE. Compare identifying information and counts, weigh, or measure items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages including data entry. Route items to departments. Process sub‑assembly parts including data entry and shelving of materials. Issue materials to production area and other internal departments. Pre‑bag parts for production requirement use. Perform daily cycle counts as required. Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications. Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies. Operate forklift, tier lift truck or use hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area. Follow all standard operating procedures. Communicate business related issues or opportunities to next management level. Ensure subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition. Ensure personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures. Perform other duties assigned as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED). At least 2 years of warehouse, distribution, shipping or material movement experience. Experience using various materials handling equipment, such as hoists, pallet jacks, etc. Previous forklift experience. Experience with hazardous chemical handling is preferred. Experience working in a GMP environment is preferred. Experience using computerized inventory management systems, e.g., SAP is highly preferred. Benefits include a consolidated retirement plan (pension) and a savings plan (401(k)), eligibility for a long‑term incentive program, vacation (120 hours per calendar year), sick time (40 hours per calendar year; additional hours for Colorado and Washington residents), holiday pay (including floating holidays – 13 days per calendar year), work, personal and family time (up to 40 hours per calendar year), parental leave (480 hours within one year), bereavement leave (240 hours for an immediate family member; 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year), caregiver leave (80 hours in a 52‑week rolling period), volunteer leave (32 hours per calendar year), and military spouse time‑off (80 hours per calendar year).
