Job Description

This role involves performing routine, repetitive assembly operations on mechanical and electronic components and sub-assemblies for level and pressure devices. You work at a standing ergonomic workstation, following printed photos, bills of material, blueprints, and written and verbal work instructions to build, test, and calibrate complete units and sub-assemblies. You use a variety of hand and power tools, basic computer applications, and quality checks to ensure every product meets strict standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine assembly operations of a repetitive nature on mechanical and/or electronic components and sub-assemblies within the product line.

• Work from samples, bills of material, prints, and written and verbal work instructions to complete assigned tasks accurately.

• Assemble mechanical and/or electronic devices to form complete units or sub-assemblies at the appropriate station.

• Program transmitters as part of the assembly process and operate laser equipment as required by work instructions.

• Fabricate sub-components as needed using various hand tools, power tools, and machines.

• Use hand and power tools such as screwdrivers, torque wrenches, and other light tools to perform assembly tasks safely and efficiently.

• Perform visual inspections during and after assembly to verify correct build, component placement, and overall product quality.

• Conduct functional testing of assemblies and devices to ensure they meet performance specifications.

• Carry out calibration of devices as needed, following established procedures and documentation.

• Maintain accurate inventory counts of parts and materials at the workstation and promptly notify the team lead of any adjustments, discrepancies, or scrap.

• Follow all documented work instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards throughout the assembly process.

• Use basic computer skills, including Microsoft applications, to access work instructions, record production data, and support documentation requirements.

• Support general production activities such as packaging, packing, and general labor tasks as needed.

• Work effectively on an assembly line, including in cleanroom or controlled environments when required.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including proper handling and storage of tools, parts, and equipment.

• Participate in continuous improvement and Lean practices to enhance productivity, ergonomics, and quality.

Essential Skills

• Ability to stand for the entirety of the shift at a standing workstation.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity for handling small parts and tools.

• High attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and producing accurate, defect-free parts.

• Experience using hand and power tools, including screwdrivers, torque wrenches, and similar light tools.

• Ability to read, write, and understand English to follow written and verbal work instructions.

• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, and working with units of measurement.

• Basic computer skills (CPU skills), including use of Microsoft Office or similar applications to support production tasks.

• Ability to work in production, assembly, and general manufacturing environments.

• Capability to perform general labor tasks, including lifting, moving, and positioning components as needed.

• Comfort working with electrical and electronic assemblies, including wiring and electronic components.

• Ability to follow blueprints, diagrams, or assembly drawings when provided.

• Capability to work on an assembly line and in mechanical and electrical assembly settings.

• Willingness and ability to wear steel-toed or composite safety shoes (boot voucher typically provided after conversion to permanent employment).

• Willingness to work mandatory overtime, including occasional weekends, when required and with advance notice.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous assembly experience in a manufacturing or production environment (preferred).

• Experience in manufacturing or logistics roles, with pay progression based on years of experience (2+ years and 10+ years experience thresholds noted for higher pay levels).

• Soldering experience for electronic assemblies (nice to have).

• Experience using torque equipment for precise fastening (preferred).

• Background in electrical assembly, electronic assembly, or wiring (preferred).

• Experience in cleanroom or controlled environment production (a plus).

• Familiarity with mechanical assembly, power tools, and general production operations.

• Comfort with packaging, packing, and general production support tasks.

• Openness to continuous learning and skills development through training and coaching.

Work Environment

You work in a safety-first, climate-controlled, clean manufacturing facility that uses Lean practices and ergonomic workstations to support productivity and comfort. Assemblers work at stations similar to standing desks equipped with ergonomic floor mats and light tools such as screwdrivers and torque wrenches. The facility maintains high cleanliness and organization standards and may include cleanroom or controlled areas for certain operations. The role offers multiple shifts: a first shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and a second shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., with a shift differential for second shift. Pay rates are experience-based, with higher levels available for candidates with 2+ years and 10+ years of manufacturing or logistics experience. Sign-on bonuses are available and are paid in installments at defined milestones (e.g., at 90 days and 6 months), and referral bonuses follow a similar structure. Overtime may be mandated at times, including occasional weekends, and is typically announced in advance. On-site amenities include a cafeteria (open until early afternoon) with subsidized food, free fruits, free coffee, an on-site gym, and ergonomic support such as a physical trainer for workplace-related issues. An on-site health clinic is available for eligible employees covered under the company’s insurance. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
