Telemetry Technician

Position Summary HSHS St. John's Hospital is seeking a Telemetry Technician to join our Cardiology unit. Telemetry Technicians observe telemetry monitors and work collaboratively with nursing staff to ensure consistent patient safety. Location & Schedule Department: Cardiology Core Function: Nursing Support Schedule: Days, 36 hrs/wk, 7am-7pm Facility: St. John's Hospital Clinic Location: Springfield, IL Compensation that aligns with your experience Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36 Education & Qualifications High School Diploma or GED- Required Experience Qualifications 1 year of Telemetry experience preferred 2 years of experience in the medical field preferred Certifications, Licenses and Registrations Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) required Basic Life Support (BLS) required Certification in cardiac technology by the American Cardiology Association- Preferred Successfully complete basic EKG training at the first offering and 16 hours of 12-lead EKG training within 3 months of hire-Required Benefits HSHS provides a benefits package designed to support the overall well-being of our colleagues including their physical, emotional, financial, spiritual, and work health.
