Senior Manager, Clinical Data Systems

Senior Manager overseeing clinical data systems and team leadership at a pharmaceutical company. Responsible for managing multiple therapeutic areas, implementing technology solutions, and developing staff while maintaining expertise in clinical trial data management and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple therapeutic areas and lead assigned team of direct reports
- Evaluate and implement clinical data technologies for performance improvement and cost reduction
- Oversee IRT/RTSM vendor management and governance activities
- Build high-performing teams through recruitment, onboarding, development, and retention initiatives
- Lead cross-functional initiatives and serve as subject matter expert and process owner
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in MIS, computer science, life sciences, or equivalent; Master's preferred
- 8+ years clinical database design and data modeling, or 9+ years similar technical/clinical development experience
- Intermediate SAS and/or SQL programming skills with expert database knowledge
- In-depth knowledge of CDASH, SDTM standards, and clinical trial processes
- IRT/RTSM experience and understanding of SDLC
- Proven people management and team leadership experience
- Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority and mentor in matrix environments
