The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing our social media strategy to increase brand awareness, engage our community, and drive enrollment in our product test groups. This role requires a strong understanding of social media platforms and a genuine interest in ASL technology. Compensation$15.50 an hour Company DescriptionSign-Speak is a fast-growing startup that's on a mission to improve communication between the Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities and the hearing world. Our innovative language software recognizes Sign Language and translates it into spoken word or text, and vice versa, using Machine Learning. Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a comprehensive social media content calendar across various platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook,TikTok, LinkedIn).- Create engaging and visually appealing content, including graphics, videos, stories, and written posts, tailored to each platform reflecting Sign-Speak's brand- Monitor social media channels for trends and community feedback- Engage with our online community by responding to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner.- Analyze social media performance data to identify areas for improvement and optimize content strategy.- Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices, trends, and platform changes.- Collaborate with the Sign-Speak team to align social media efforts with overall marketing and organizational goals.- Assist with pilot program by interviewing Deaf users and scheduling Qualifications- Strong understanding of various social media platforms and their best practices.- Proficiency in content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe, video editing software).- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.- Creative mindset with an eye for design and engaging storytelling- Must be proficient in American Sign Language LocationRequired: In person - Rochester NY HoursApproximately 15-20 hours per week (flexible schedule) DisclaimerAll requirements are subject to possible modification to reasonably accommodate individuals with disabilities.This description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee(s) or contractors occupying this position.Employees or contractors will be required to follow any other position-related instructions and to perform any other position-related duties requested.The firm reserves the right to add to or revise an employee or contractor’s duties at any time at its sole discretion.This document does not create an employment contract, implied or otherwise, other than an “at will” employment relationship.
