Process Development Associate Scientist

Amgen seeks a Process Development Associate Scientist to develop cell culture and purification manufacturing processes for late-stage pipeline therapeutics. The role involves executing mammalian cell culture and purification experiments at multiple scales, characterizing process robustness, transferring processes to manufacturing, and supporting regulatory documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize cell culture and purification processes for recombinant proteins to improve production yields
• Execute mammalian cell culture experiments in shake flasks and bioreactors at different scales
• Conduct purification experiments including filtration and chromatography at bench and pilot scale
• Analyze experimental data, prepare technical reports, and present findings to cross-functional teams
• Support process transfer to manufacturing and contribute to continuous improvement technology projects

Requirements

• Master's degree in relevant field, or Bachelor's degree with 3+ years process development experience
• Hands-on laboratory experience in cell culture or protein purification
• Strong attention to detail and critical thinking ability
• Experience with Design of Experiments and statistical analysis preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Self-motivated with strong organizational and interpersonal abilities

Compensation: $90,443–$122,363 base
