Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Medical Surgical RN to provide specialized care for adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced hospital setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate clinical proficiency, exceptional judgment, and a commitment to patient safety during night shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver compassionate nursing care to patients across various diagnoses including sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac conditions, and post-operative recovery.
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic medical records such as Epic.
• Demonstrate strong clinical competencies by applying theoretical knowledge to practical patient care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Adapt to shift changes, manage workload, and respond effectively to patient needs during night hours.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and patient safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in Idaho or state of practice, with ACLS certification within 12 months of hire.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience, travel experience preferred.
• Proficient in Epic electronic medical records and basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy, high-pressure environment.
• Strong organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills.
• Willingness to work 12-hour night shifts and flexible on working weekends and holidays.
