Research Professor - Statistician

This will be a joint appointment in both the Division of Biostatistics (primary) and the Hematologic Malignancies Research Institute (HMRI) (secondary), at a rank consistent with qualifications and experience. Palmer, PhDProfessor and Director of BiostatisticsDepartment of Computational and Quantitative View email address on job-api.jobget.com LindstedtBusiness Manager, Division of View email address on job-api.jobget.com a successful candidate, you will:· Contribute to the HMRI’s research agenda through collaborative research resulting in presentations, publications, and grant funding.· Contribute to science through collaborative and independent research including co-authoring papers and protocols.· Serve as the statistician on preclinical/clinical studies and trial protocols.· Establish a publication and funding track record.· Develop novel statistical methodologies.· Deliver talks on the results of the research.· Maintain current knowledge of and contribute to advancements in the field through participation in professional organizations, scientific conferences, reading industry journals, and publication of manuscripts.QualificationsYour qualifications should include:· Doctorate in applied biostatistics/statistics or similar field.· Experience (minimum of 1-3 years) in designing and/or analyzing clinical trials. For recent graduates, doctoral level course work may substitute for this requirement.· Excellent computing skills and a publication record documenting both self-directed and collaborative research.
