Physician, Neurology Clinician-Researcher

Job Title: Full‑time Clinician‑Researcher at the Associate Professor or Professor rank in the Department of Neurology at WVU School of Medicine, West Virginia University Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute. Description: The WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute (RNI) is a comprehensive multidisciplinary patient care, education, and research institute providing neurological and mental healthcare through more than 300,000 visits annually. Qualifications: Must hold an MD, DO, or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical licensure. Must have completed a psychiatry or neurology residency program and an ACGME/UCNS accredited neurology fellowship program. Must be ACGME/UCNS board certified. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment. Duties: Practice in the area of cognitive and behavioral neurology including mild cognitive impairment, Alzheimer’s disease, and related disorders. Provide excellent patient care and be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Develop and sustain an independent, externally funded research program in clinical neuroscience. Design and lead clinical trials, observational studies, and investigator‑initiated research. Publish findings in peer‑reviewed journals and present at national/international conferences. Collaborate across departments and disciplines to foster innovative research initiatives. Mentor trainees and junior faculty in research methodology and career development. Benefits and Compensation: Scheduled weekly hours: 40 hours. Exempt status: United States of America (Exempt).
