Machinist

SC Engineering

Job Description

The Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating, manual lathes and milling machines as well as operating industrial Pumps. Mechanical experience with pumps and valves a plus. This role ensures high-quality output through careful quality control and calibration while adhering to safety standards and managing inventory effectively.

Responsibilities

Set up machines according to job orders and blueprints
Operate manual lathes & Milling machines
Operate Industrial Pumps
Perform quality control inspections to ensure parts meet specifications
Maintain and calibrate machines to ensure optimal performance
Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and make necessary adjustments
Comply with all safety regulations and guidelines
Manage inventory of tools and materials required for machining

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Industrial pumps
Experience with manual milling machines and lathes required
Mechanical experience a plus
