Patient Ratios: 1:1, 1:2 (occasionally 1:3 with patients ready to leave ICU)
Unit staffing description: No CNAs, one tele
Type of equipment: Aleris pumps, GE monitors, Edwards EV 1000 and CCO, primaflex CRRT, cardiohelp ECMO
Documentation system: Meditech
Scheduling requirements: 3 12 hour shifts a week, everyone other weekend
Floating policy: Travelers float first ED, step down
On Call Expectations: Only when census drops, otherwise no call
Weekend Requirement: Every other
Certifications Required: RN LICENSE, ACLS, BLS
TNCC, NIH, ABLS all welcome
Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
Any additional information that would entice a worker to select your unit for their assignment: 29 bed general ICU in a level 2 trauma center. Heart program with about 200 cases per year. CRRT, Impella, IABP, ECMO. Burn center opened April 2019. Average years of experience in ICU staff is 12.
