Red Oak Management Co, Inc. is hiring for the role of Affordable Housing Maintenance Technician in Detroit, MI. We have five full-time jobs available. You will earn $20 – $26 per hour . You will be helping take care of homes for people across the city.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

This job is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm . You will sometimes need to answer emergency calls, but you will not be on a regular on-call schedule. Every day, you will travel from your home right to your assigned property. There is no need to go to an office before work.

Here's what we're looking for in our ideal Affordable Housing Maintenance Technician:

• Experience in residential maintenance or construction
• Mechanical and electrical systems knowledge
• Excellent customer service skills and professionalism
• Ability to work with both occupied and vacant units
• Willingness to maintain property inside and out
• Capability to prioritize work and stay organized

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are strongly preferred due to the needs of our diverse client population.

Preferred:

• Basic understanding of fair house rules and regulations
• Experience in affordable housing

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

As an Affordable Housing Maintenance Technician, you will finish repair jobs, help get apartments ready for new tenants, and make sure the property looks good and follows the rules. You will work closely with the property manager to decide what needs to be done first and keep your workspace tidy. Sometimes, you will work with outside vendors who can help with bigger tasks. You will always treat residents and guests with respect and help make their homes better.
