Family Law Associate Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks a skilled and motivated Family Law Associate Attorney in New York City, NY. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of experience in family and divorce law, with strong litigation skills and a client-centered approach. Duties Independently manage a caseload of divorce, custody, child support, spousal support, and equitable distribution matters. Conduct client consultations, legal research, and case strategy development. Draft and review pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and pre/post-nuptial agreements. Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and mediation sessions. Negotiate settlements and advocate effectively in contested matters. Collaborate with partners and other team members to ensure successful case outcomes. Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them informed and engaged throughout their case. Requirements J.D. or L.L.M. from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in New York. 3-6 years of experience handling family and matrimonial law matters in NYC. Strong litigation and courtroom advocacy skills. Excellent writing, negotiation, and case management abilities. Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team. Compassionate and client-focused approach to family law matters. Education J.D. or L.L.M. from an accredited law school. Certifications Licensed to practice law in New York.
