Asphalt Plant Laborer

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: General Labor Support - Perform physical labor tasks at the asphalt plant in support of plant and production operations. Material Handling - Handle, load, and move raw materials, supplies, and finished product as directed. Plant and Equipment Cleanup - Clean plant equipment, work areas, and facilities, and clean up spilled materials, debris, and waste. Tool and Equipment Use - Operate hand and power tools as directed to support plant maintenance and production tasks. Maintenance Assistance - Assist maintenance personnel with routine upkeep of plant equipment and machinery. Safety and Environmental Compliance - Follow all company safety policies and procedures, and applicable environmental and safety regulations. Traffic and Truck Support - Assist with directing trucks and other traffic within the plant yard as needed. Weather Adaptability - Perform assigned duties in extreme weather conditions, including heat, cold, and precipitation. General Support - Perform other duties as assigned that are necessary to support plant operations. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Asphalt or construction labor experience preferred but not required. 2. Ability to safely and effectively operate hand and power tools. 3. Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and physically demanding environments. 4. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and plant safety procedures. 5. High school diploma or GED helpful but not required. 1. Manual Dexterity - The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects. 2. Multilimbed Coordination - The ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while the whole body is in motion. 3. Arm-Hand Steadiness - The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position. 4. Static Strength - The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects. 5. Oral Comprehension - The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. 6. Near Vision - The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
