How you'll contribute An MRI Technician who excels in this role operates magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images for use by physicians in diagnoses and treatment of pathologies. Additional responsibilities include:
Applicants should have a current NM imaging license and be a graduate of an ARRT, JRCERT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Radiation Therapy, MR, or Nuclear Medicine with an associate's degree preferred. Additional requirements include:

- Reviews patient history and physician's orders.
- Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
- When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
- Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
- Prepares equipment and supplies.
- Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
- Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
- Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s).
- Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results.
- Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure.
- Enters, transmits and reports scan results.

Applicants should have a current NM imaging license and be a graduate of an ARRT, JRCERT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Radiation Therapy, MR, or Nuclear Medicine with an associate's degree preferred. Additional requirements include:
- Certification/License:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) current upon hire.
- ARRT, JRCERT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB registry in Radiology, Radiation Therapy, MR, or Nuclear Medicine Registry required.
- ARRT Registry in MR required within 1 year hire/transfer.
- If not ARRT(MR) upon hire, you must work under the supervision of an ARRT(MR) technologist until your ARRT(MR) is obtained.
