With customers' mission-critical needs always in mind, our employees deliver end-to-end technology solutions connecting the space, air, land, sea and cyber domains in the interest of national security.Job Title: Specialist, PCB DesignerJob Location: Salt Lake City, UTJob Code: 37192Job Schedule: 9/80- employees work 9 hours out of 14 days- totaling 80 hours work- and have every other Friday offEssential Functions:Place and route components ensuring that all electrical and physical specifications meet the specific design requirements for each PCB design.Ensure that all requirements for manufacturing and assembly are met.Develop and generate drawings and documentation to facilitate PCB fabrication and assembly.Rework PCB designs when engineering design changes occur and assist the design team with ideas to resolve issues.Perform drawing and documentation updates per the instructions of engineering change requests.Create component ECAD library footprints and/or schematic symbols as required for design projects.Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.Preferred Additional Skills:Minimum of 8 years of experience in PCB design, or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience in PCB design. An associates degree in Electrical Engineering Technology and/or an IPC CID certification is desired.Competent skills and experience with ECAD software applications and related equipment. Specific experience with Siemens EDA (formerly Mentor Graphics) Xpedition® software is desired.Competent experience and knowledge of PCB design technologies, PCB layout techniques, electrical schematics, PCB fabrication and assembly drawings is desired.Practical knowledge of industry standards such as IPC for design and ASME/ANSI for documentation is desired.IT experience to help with backend management of ECAD tools such as Siemens EDA.L3Harris Technologies is the Trusted Disruptor in the defense industry.
