Work Environment
Located in Youngstown, our outpatient facility provides a supportive and collaborative work environment. Key Responsibilities
In your role as an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will be charged with a variety of crucial responsibilities including:
- Conducting thorough evaluations to understand patient-specific needs and establishing clear objectives.
- Managing a patient load of one individual per hour to ensure focused and personalized attention during each session.
- Implementing cost-effective therapeutic interventions aimed at enhancing patients' range of motion and overall mobility.
- Reducing reliance on medications through advocating for non-surgical alternatives wherever possible.
- Creating comprehensive treatment plans that incorporate a range of therapeutic techniques tailored to individual patient goals.
- Designing and supervising customized exercise programs that promote physical strength, flexibility, and overall wellness.
- Delivering high-quality, evidence-based physical therapy interventions to support patient recovery.
- Encouraging and motivating patients throughout their rehabilitation journeys to foster progress and achieve therapeutic milestones.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient care and optimal outcomes.
- Documenting treatment sessions and patient interactions accurately in our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your primary focus will be on diverse orthopedic patients, ranging from post-operative rehabilitation to injury prevention. You will work with individuals of various ages and backgrounds, requiring a tailored approach to meet their unique recovery needs. Your expertise will be crucial in navigating their rehabilitation journeys to restore function and enhance their quality of life.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Graduated with a Master's (MPT) or Doctorate (DPT) degree in Physical Therapy.
- Hold an active Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida.
- Have no history of board or disciplinary actions against your license.
- Exhibit proficiency in manual therapy techniques and their applications in rehabilitation.
- Demonstrate a strong ability in designing and implementing effective exercise programs.
- Experience with EMR software platforms such as WebPT is a plus.
Preferred Experience
While not mandatory, candidates with prior experience in orthopedic outpatient settings will be highly regarded. Familiarity with diverse patient populations and specific orthopedic conditions will enhance your ability to contribute effectively in this role.
