Job Title

Registered Nurse – Step Down / IMC / PCU

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 3 x 12-hour shifts | 36 hours per week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Step Down / Intermediate Care setting during night shift hours
• Monitor and assess patients requiring close observation and intervention between ICU and general medical-surgical levels of care
• Perform and interpret cardiac rhythm identification as part of unit competency requirements — a proctored rhythm identification test (non-multiple choice) is required upon start, with two attempts allowed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and execute individualized patient care plans
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility standards

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license — must be in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 18 months of Step Down / IMC / PCU experience within the past 3 years
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local travelers are not eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation in an intermediate or progressive care setting
• Familiarity with high-acuity patient populations transitioning from intensive care environments
