Occupational Therapist PRN – Role Overview Occupational Therapists at Methodist Hospital Stone Oak play a vital role in helping patients regain independence, confidence, and quality of life after illness or injury. You will deliver compassionate evidence‑based therapy tailored to each patient's unique goals and capabilities. Responsibilities Evaluate each patient’s functional abilities and needs, then develop individualized therapy plans in coordination with physicians and the care team. Deliver skilled, evidence‑based interventions that promote healing, independence, and quality of life through purposeful, compassionate care. Monitor patient progress, adjust plans as needed, and ensure thorough, timely documentation that reflects quality outcomes. Educate patients and families to build understanding, confidence, and engagement throughout recovery and beyond. Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners to ensure seamless transitions of care, safe environments, and exceptional patient experiences. Lead by example—provide guidance to therapy assistants or students and uphold HCA Healthcare’s mission, values, and commitment to excellence. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy. Occupational Therapy License issued by the Texas State Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners. Prefer one or more years of experience in an Acute Occupational Therapy setting.
