Safely operate commercial vehicles for the transportation of goods. This position requires both driving and hands-on responsibilities, including loading and unloading cargo, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining compliance with all safety regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Operate a CDL Class A commercial vehicle in a safe and efficient manner
- Transport goods to and from designated locations while meeting delivery schedules
- Load and unload freight manually or using equipment such as pallet jacks, dollies, or forklifts
- Inspect cargo to ensure it is properly secured and protected
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and report any mechanical issues
- Maintain accurate logs and delivery documentation in compliance with DOT regulations
- Follow all traffic laws, safety standards, and company policies
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and customers
- Provide professional customer service at delivery and pickup locations
- Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of assigned vehicle
