Details Work in the Endoscopy unit of a hospital setting High acuity patient population requiring in-room patient monitoring and coverage Patient ratio of 1:1-2 Performs procedures including colonoscopy, EGD, EBUS, EUS, ERCP, and esophageal varices banding Administers and monitors conscious sedation and recovers patients from conscious and monitored anesthesia care sedation Uses equipment such as disposable grounding pads and ERBE portable electrical coagulation instruments Epic EMR experience required 4x10 day shift schedule with 6:30 AM or 8 AM start times depending on unit need Every other weekend/holiday rotation required Must be able to work all 7 days with no special scheduling accommodations due to union facility rules Requirements Active MA RN license required BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 2 years of experience required, 2-3 years preferred Prior experience with in-room patient monitoring/coverage required Epic charting system experience required Prior travel nursing experience required Teaching hospital, Trauma Level I, and Trauma Level II experience preferred Skilled in administering conscious sedation, interpreting/managing dysrhythmias, and monitoring conscious sedation Experience with specimen handling/labeling and Provation preferred Skilled in airway management, starting and maintaining IVs, obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG, and administering medications including opioid analgesics, reversal agents, and Versed Two references required for consideration, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher Additional Information Circulate and provide pre/post-procedure and pre-procedure care in an inpatient and portable/bedside travel case setting Must complete a Pass/Fail Tele test during orientation with an 80% passing score and only one attempt allowed; failure to pass results in cancellation from the assignment Must also complete a Pass/Fail Medication exam during orientation Pre-start and orientation modules required, with additional annual modules Up to 14 days of RTO may be submitted for review, with no RTO allowed during the first week Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius at the same bill rate RNs must reside within a 200-mile radius to be eligible Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system Candidates with prior disciplinary actions on their nursing license cannot be considered American Traveler Job ID P-769295.
