Senior Clinic Director- Phase I CRU, Remote US and Canada

Fortrea seeks a Senior Clinic Director to oversee Phase I clinical research unit operations across one or multiple sites. The role combines clinical site management, client relationship stewardship, and strategic partnership development to drive operational excellence and business growth.

Responsibilities

• Oversee site management, operations, and performance metrics for assigned clinical pharmacology unit(s)
• Build and maintain strategic client relationships; serve as subject matter expert and primary client advocate
• Lead proposal development, RFP responses, and bid defense activities with business development partners
• Develop and execute process improvements to maximize operational efficiency and cost performance
• Facilitate governance meetings, conduct satisfaction surveys, and drive lessons-learned initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in medical, science, or related field; Master's or MBA preferred
• 10–12 years progressive leadership experience in clinical research or related environment
• Deep knowledge of clinical research operations and industry landscape
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple sites and complex stakeholder relationships
• Track record of meeting commitments, driving change collaboratively, and building team consensus
• Six Sigma training preferred
• Minimum three years clinical research experience preferred
