SDET Developer

Job Title: SDET Engineer (.NET | UI & API Automation)

Location: Austin, TX



Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong expertise in .NET development, UI automation, and API automation testing . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building scalable automation frameworks, validating REST APIs, and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. This role requires close collaboration with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality enterprise applications.

Required Skills

Strong experience in .NET / C#

Hands-on experience with UI Automation using Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, or similar tools

Strong experience in API Automation Testing using RestSharp, Postman, Swagger, or similar tools

Experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks

Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, and protocols

Experience with test frameworks such as NUnit, MSTest, or xUnit

Experience with source control tools like Git

Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions

Strong SQL skills for backend data validation

Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies

Preferred Skills

Experience with performance or load testing tools

Cloud experience with Azure or AWS

Knowledge of Docker and containerized test execution

Familiarity with test reporting tools such as Extent Reports or Allure

Experience working in enterprise application environments

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust UI and API automation frameworks.

Create automated test scripts for web applications and REST APIs.

Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end automated tests.

Validate backend data using SQL queries.

Collaborate with developers to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects.

Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and Agile ceremonies.

Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.

Analyze test results, generate reports, and provide quality metrics.

Improve automation coverage and reduce manual testing efforts.
