Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Valid Allied license in hand Certifications: ARRT, BLS, NMTCB, PET Must-Have: Experience with Siemens equipment Description: Nuclear Medicine Tech position available. Candidates should have 1 year of experience. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. PET CT and nuclear medicine tech experience is required. Experience in a department that does not perform nuclear cardiology exams is preferred. ARRT or NMTCB certification must be in hand. Flexibility to float to similar units as needed. Travelers will receive a brief orientation on the unit. Knowledge of storing, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials is necessary. The position involves performing various nuclear medicine procedures. Skills required include starting and maintaining IVs and drawing venous blood. Familiarity with charting systems, preferably Epic, is appreciated. A supportive interdisciplinary environment is available. The patient demographic includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
