Physical Therapy Assistant PTA

Job Summary:

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) will provide skilled rehabilitation services to patients in a skilled nursing facility setting. The role involves managing a varied caseload, prioritizing patient care in a fast-paced environment, and collaborating effectively with the rehab team. The PTA will support patient recovery through therapeutic interventions and contribute to clinical documentation and communication within the team. Responsibilities:

• Provide physical therapy treatments as directed by the supervising physical therapist.
• Manage a diverse caseload of patients requiring rehabilitation services.
• Perform patient assessments and document progress accurately.
• Prioritize patient care to meet clinical goals in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain a safe and supportive therapeutic environment for patients.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Current and active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license.
• Strong clinical reasoning and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple patients and prioritize care efficiently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting strongly preferred.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience working in fast-paced rehabilitation environments.
• Adaptability and team-oriented mindset.

Special Considerations:

• Must be able to work effectively within a collaborative rehab team.
• Comfortable working in a facility located in a bike-friendly, walkable neighborhood.
• Position covers a full-time team member's leave starting in September.

Scheduling:

• Full-time schedule during the coverage period.
• Shift details to be determined by facility needs.
