The family is a dynamic, genuine family in the Los Angeles area seeking a live-out nanny to provide engaging childcare for our school-age children. Their home is warm, energetic, and filled with activity. They value caregivers who are present, engaged, and genuinely connected to the families they work with—not just going through the motions. They understand that childcare is as much about personality fit as professional qualifications. They are looking for someone who doesn't just watch children but genuinely engages with them—building real relationships that families treasure.
The Role

As their nanny, you will be responsible for:

• Providing attentive, engaged childcare for school-age children
• Maintaining a supportive, nurturing, and interactive presence
• Preparing simple meals and light snacks
• Managing the children's schedules, activities, and homework time
• Light housekeeping related to childcare (children's messes, laundry, tidying shared spaces)
• Being available for periodic travel with the family (compensation to be discussed)

What They are Looking For
Beyond the basics—childcare experience for MM, valid driver's license, clean background—they need someone with the following qualities:

• Genuinely engaged and present with children.
• Energetic and able to manage an active household with flexibility and good humor
• Creative, imaginative, and able to facilitate both structured activities and independent play
• Intelligent and thoughtful—someone who anticipates needs and problem-solves independently
• A team player who fits into the family dynamic and communicates openly
• Reliable, responsible, and committed to staying for a meaningful period (ideally 2+ years)

Schedule

• Preferred: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM Monday through Friday
• Flexible: 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM, depending on your availability and preferences

This role requires a commitment to regular, consistent hours with the ability to accommodate occasional flexibility when needed.

 
Compensation
Hourly rate: $120k-$135k per year (based on experience and qualifications). This is based on 30-35 hours per week, plus overtime at time-and-a-half for any hours beyond the standard schedule.
For family travel, compensation will be discussed and agreed upon in advance (options include per diem, overnight rates, or modified hourly structure)
The family follows all California employment laws regarding taxes, workers' compensation, and benefits.

 
Current need:  Positions available for immediate start and ongoing availability. Interviews and trial shifts begin as soon as possible. Targeted start date June 2026 or sooner
