Senior UX Designer, Amazon Delivery Customer Experience

Have you ever wished your deliveries could fit more effortlessly into your life and routines? Amazon Delivery's Customer Experiences team (ADX CX) is seeking our next Senior UX Designer to explore how deliveries can better serve customers with every order. In this role, you'll take concepts from early exploration all the way through to launch - researching, prototyping, validating, and shipping experiences that rethink what delivery can be. Working directly with senior leaders and multi-disciplinary teams across partner organizations, you'll navigate ambiguity to shape new ideas while also driving the craft and rigor needed to bring them into the hands of customers. This is a role for someone who can toggle between big-picture thinking and execution - equally comfortable generating bold concepts and doing the detailed work to get them into market. As a part of our team, you'll also be connected with a broader group of designers and researchers in a design organization working through different lenses to elevate our delivery customer experience overall. Key job responsibilities Bring forward innovative ideas and solutions and raise the bar on customer's experience with delivery Effectively advocate and design for the customer through objective data such as market analysis, customer insights, technical constraints/opportunities, and business insights Partner closely with business and development teams to plan and balance immediate changes with long-term, scalable solutions Quickly and thoroughly creating user flows, wire frames, visual designs, and prototypes to effectively concept and communicate detailed interaction behaviors that support decision making and development Assess and optimize the effectiveness of new and existing features by proactively planning, performing, and advocating validation techniques like usability testing, user research, and interpreting analytic data. Present design work to UX partners, cross-disciplinary teams, and executive leaders About the team The Amazon Delivery's Customer Experience team (ADX CX) team is a diverse group of designers and researchers that share our experiences and help each other succeed. Basic Qualifications 7+ years of design experience Have an available online portfolio Experience defining and maintaining design patterns and UX standards Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar Knowledge of best practices for information architecture and interaction design, user-centered design process Experience in life cycle design projects from design strategy through execution Experience designing and managing workflow with AI tools Experience designing customer facing retail products Preferred Qualifications Experience acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research) and creating personas and journey maps Experience providing and effectively communicating strategic and tactical recommendations based on data Experience presenting designs and collaborating with all levels of the organization Experience presenting to and effectively advising senior leaders outside of design Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
