RN Labor & Delivery (L&D) TriStar Horizon Medical Center

Location: Dickson, TN
Requirement: Must Have Charge Experience
Shift: 7p-7a

Position Overview

TriStar Horizon Medical Center is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN to join a collaborative Women's Services team. This LDRP unit provides care across labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, newborn transition, and Level II NICU support.

Unit Details

• 9-bed LDRP unit
• 1-bed OBED
• 4-bed Level II NICU
• 1 OR suite
• No unit secretaries or techs

Required Experience

• Labor & Delivery nursing
• Recovery of mother and newborn transition
• OB emergency management
• Charge nurse experience required

Preferred Skills

• Shoulder dystocia
• Postpartum hemorrhage
• Fetal monitoring interpretation
• Inductions using Pitocin and Cervidil
• C-section recovery experience

Procedures Performed

• C-sections
• Circumcisions
• Intrauterine monitoring
• Vacuum-assisted deliveries
• Forceps-assisted deliveries

Certifications Required

• BLS
• NRP
• Fetal Monitoring certification/training

Scheduling

• 3 shifts/week
• Rotating weekends and holidays
• Floating may be required within the facility

Documentation & Equipment

• Meditech
• CPN monitoring system
• Infant warmers
• PCA pumps
• Tele-med neonatology robot
• Bili-blankets

Dress Code

• Pink and/or brown scrubs required
