Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Night Shift: 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a high-risk, high-volume Labor and Delivery unit. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing obstetric patients, performing critical assessments, and providing comprehensive care during labor and delivery processes.

Responsibilities

• Function as the Baby Nurse during delivery and provide ongoing care for the newborn.
• Circumvent and provide newborn care, including routine assessments and administration of Vitamin K and other newborn medications.
• Support midwifery clients and engage in adult recovery services for substance recovery patients.
• Utilize electronic fetal monitoring systems, such as EPIC, for patient assessments and documentation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy to ensure optimal patient care.
• Participate in high-risk deliveries and manage obstetric emergencies effectively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Active compact RN license required.
• Current certifications: BLS, NRP; preferred certifications include ACLS, AWHONN Advanced and Intermediate.
• Experience in high-risk obstetrics and ability to work in fast-paced, high acuity environments.
