Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor and Delivery (Nights)

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients using critical thinking and independent judgment
• Utilize all phases of the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Direct and supervise the nursing patient care team, including CNAs, LPNs, and other support staff
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in the provision of patient care
• Document patient care, condition, reactions, and responses to treatment in a timely manner and track patient progress

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of current Birthing Center experience
• Experience with laboring patients, delivery (including newborn care at delivery), and postpartum care (mothers and babies)
• Active Michigan RN State License
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification — candidates without active certification will be considered if willing to obtain
• Experience with Cerner EMR
