Night Med/Surg RN - Contract Position

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (18:00 - 06:30). Minimum of 3 weekends in a 6-week period required.

We are seeking a skilled Med/Surg Registered Nurse with experience in telemetry. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in a fast-paced environment while adhering to hospital policies.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patient conditions, implementing nursing care plans.
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and ensure proper patient management.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Document all patient information accurately in Meditech.
• Participate in required training and maintain certifications.
• Ensure safety and comfort of patients, including pediatric populations.
• Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 1 year Med/Surg nursing experience, with telemetry experience required.
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications are required (PALS is mandatory for the Med/Surg unit).
• Must be comfortable working with pediatric patients.
• Ability to float between units as per hospital's needs.
• Must complete all required modules and training within the first week of signing.
