Senior Unified Communications Voice Architect Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance Required Location: Washington, DC (Onsite / 5 Days a week) Role Summary Our client is hiring for a Senior Unified Communications Voice Architect to support the deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management of enterprise voice and telephony systems across a large, secure, multi-site environment. This role is hands‑on and focused on Microsoft Teams Voice, Avaya, secure telephony platforms, Enterprise Voice over IP, Cisco voice technologies, and related telephony tools. The ideal candidate has deep enterprise voice experience, strong Microsoft Teams Phone System knowledge, and the ability to support complex issues in a high‑visibility government or secure enterprise setting. What This Person Will Do Lead implementation and support of enterprise voice services across a large multi‑site environment. Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize Microsoft Teams Voice, Avaya, secure telephony platforms, EVoIP, Cisco voice technologies, and related systems. Support Teams Phone System capabilities including Direct Routing, Operator Connect, SBCs, SIP/VoIP routing, dial plans, E911, call queues, auto attendants, voicemail, and number management. Provide engineering support for system configuration, endpoint connectivity, operational readiness, performance troubleshooting, and Tier 3 telephony incidents. Maintain telephony infrastructure through health checks, software/firmware updates, vulnerability remediation, PKI/certificate validation, and security compliance activities. Integrate voice solutions with enterprise systems, service desks, ITSM workflows, dashboards, and reporting tools. Collaborate with engineering, operations, security, vendor, customer, and government stakeholder teams to resolve issues and reduce service risk. Mentor junior engineers through documentation, peer review, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing. Required Qualifications Active TS clearance at time of application, with ability to obtain SCI access and pass a CI polygraph. Ability to work onsite 5 days per week in Washington, DC, with up to 25% travel. Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Systems, or related field. Minimum 8 years of enterprise telephony or unified communications experience. At least 1 year of direct experience supporting Microsoft Teams Phone System. Hands‑on experience managing, configuring, and troubleshooting Avaya, secure telephony platforms, Microsoft Teams Voice, and Enterprise Voice over IP solutions. Strong knowledge of Direct Routing, Operator Connect, Session Border Controllers, SIP/VoIP routing, and dial plan design. Experience with Cisco voice technologies, Microsoft platforms, Power BI, SAF, and enterprise telephony tools. Proficiency with PowerShell, Microsoft Teams Admin Center, Microsoft 365 Admin Center, Jira, and ITSM platforms. Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, incident escalation, and problem‑resolution skills in complex enterprise voice environments. Ability to communicate technical issues, risks, outages, impacts, and remediation plans to technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Experience migrating from legacy PBX systems to Microsoft Teams Voice. Familiarity with government cybersecurity compliance frameworks including STIGs, FISMA, and NIST. Experience integrating Teams Voice with third‑party systems or services. Microsoft 365 Certified: Collaboration Communications Systems Engineer Associate, or equivalent certification. Experience providing secure reach‑back support in a federal or enterprise environment. Experience supporting business process modeling, process improvement, or reengineering efforts. #J-18808-Ljbffr
