Overview
Speech Language Pathologist, Acute Care, Middletown, Rhode Island — Start August 3, 2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. Weekly pay range: $1,975–$2,055 per week. Guaranteed hours: 35 per week. Shift: 5x8 days (08:00–16:30). Setting: long-term care/nursing home.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language pathology assessments and periodic re-assessments for residents to identify communication and swallowing needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals addressing speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing concerns
- Provide direct therapy for residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and dysphagia disorders
- Screen for dysphagia, evaluate swallow function, and recommend safe dietary modifications and compensatory strategies
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, plan admissions and discharges, and support transition of care
- Document progress and maintain timely, accurate records in the electronic medical record; communicate with families and caregivers about strategies and progress

Requirements
- Active licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the United States or eligibility to practice per state requirements
- Ability to work in a long-term care/nursing home environment
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Willingness to work a 5x8 day shift (08:00–16:30) and commit to a 13-week travel assignment
- Compliance with facility policies and patient safety guidelines
