Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Service Operations in Leonia, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure, welcoming environment. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors while responding to security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or drivers at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouse spaces, shipping and receiving locations, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, maintain entry records, and report irregularities according to site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required documentation.
• Observe and report potential hazards, damaged property, suspicious activity, and other security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
