Phlebotomist Per Diem

Job Overview Labcorp is a global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development solutions, helping healthcare providers, researchers, and patients make informed decisions that advance care. Position Details Phlebotomist, Somerset, NJ. Work Schedule: Casual/per diem. Hours as needed between Monday‑Friday 7:00 am–3:30 pm and rotating Saturdays 7:00–11:00 am. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely. Process billing information and collect payments when required. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications Phlebotomy certification, completed training program, or at least three months of experience as a phlebotomist. Additional Job Standards In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must originate from an accredited agency. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test. Pay Range $17.75 – $28.49 per hour. Benefits Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), PTO or FTO, Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees working fewer than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all benefits except PTO or FTO.
