About the Team:

Do you want to set and drive the platform vision for one of Capital One Card’s most significant profit centers? Do you want to directly impact the customer experiences of the many millions of existing Capital One and Discover customers who rely on their credit line and borrowing capabilities every year?

The Line and Balance Transfer team owns the platforms that power the customer experiences and accurate delivery of our credit limit increases, decreases, and balance transfers. These strategies are existentially important to Capital One’s bottom line– credit line increase programs drive massive business and customer value every year.

These platforms are on the cusp of a major investment cycle and potentially a complete rebuild. We are on a journey to unlock new customer experiences and paradigms for how we offer line and balance transfers to customers, and you could be at the driver’s seat of that strategy.

This role will lead the line and balance transfer teams (4-6 direct reports, partnering with multiple tech teams), and will be responsible for:

• Ongoing delivery of high-leverage capabilities and updates that are critical to keeping our business evolving

• Defining and refining the vision for the next generation platform that we’ll be running our line strategies on

• Recruiting, coaching, and unleashing the members of the product team

• Ensuring we keep one of the most important aspects of our business well-managed, to be both audit- and customer-ready

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in any field and at least 5 years of Product Management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Chicago, IL: $209,500 - $239,100 for Director, Product ManagementMcLean, VA: $230,400 - $263,000 for Director, Product ManagementNew York, NY: $251,400 - $286,900 for Director, Product ManagementRichmond, VA: $209,500 - $239,100 for Director, Product Management

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
