Factory Controller

Overview The Factory Controller is the custodian of stewardship and governance for the facility, serving as an important partner to the Factory Manager and Factory Leadership Team with direct dialogue to the Operations Controller. Accountable for all factory financial matters and for providing fact-based decision making on short-term objectives and long-term strategic initiatives. Provides visibility and forecasts around costs related to factory processes through analysis and reporting, monitors the budget and variances, and ensures compliance with financial legal requirements and NAS. Responsibilities Cash Flow & Continuous Improvement (20%) Identify, drive and deliver cost improvement opportunities through their team; actively contribute to improvement projects and initiatives; validate, review and track proposed savings. Challenge assumptions for cost improvements in the factory based on internal and external benchmarking information on factory performance and costs. Actively drive NCE activities within the factory and ensure activities are aligned with business OMP. Reporting and Analytics (15%) Manage and interpret factory reporting of actuals and forecasts for the factory and key external stakeholders; ensure transparency, accuracy and timeliness; monitor progress to close gaps, ensuring Nestle financial policies, accounting standards and costing standards are followed by promoting ownership of data at source. Strategic Evaluations (5%) Identify and lead strategic financial analysis related to major decisions to ensure full transparency of costs and non-financial implications. Business Planning (10%) Drive business planning. Manage the overall factory budget with factory management team and act as a critical liaison between the factory and Head Office in the business planning process. Perform forecasts and revisions to simulations if needed. Capital Investments (5%) Develop, control and ensure robust evaluations of capital investment plans and requests including post-CAPEX evaluations. Performance Management, Development and Talent (15%) Coach and develop the factory personnel with focus on finance individuals and team, including career and succession planning. Ensure factory finance personnel are meeting/exceeding performance expectations. Knowledge Transfer (10%) Drive clear understanding of financial key figures, costing and business impact within and outside the factory, including organizing training sessions for non-specialists. Compliance & Internal Controls (20%) Manage routine audit activities within the factory to ensure compliance on critical areas (NAS, Costing Standards, statutory accounting/tax, OPEX guidance) and appropriately escalate business risks. Act as champion of compliance and risk management for the site; serve as key contact for internal and external audits within the factory. Ensure clear control and visibility of assets and liabilities, including development, implementation and compliance with internal controls in all areas. Accountable for Segregation of Duties (SODs) and assessment of compensating control effectiveness, including establishing regular monitoring of internal controls and escalation of risks.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 5 years experience in financial operations, with a solid accounting background Experience within a network organization (internal and external providers) FMCG industry experience University Degree (BA/BS) in Business, Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience Skilled in managing diverse P&Ls Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical problem solving skills Superior execution skills in a changing environment and ability to multi-task Good with numbers and data, but critically important to be able to deliver the message to non-finance professionals Proven ability to drive excellent work in a team and matrix organization Proven analytical thinking and ability to see the big picture Proven ability to quickly learn and drive new concepts and processes Excellent verbal and written communications skills Good knowledge of the business environment/competition/capacity to benchmark Good working knowledge of product portfolio and brand profitability Good knowledge of Nestlé Costing (CSM, CSD, CSW) [Internal Candidates Only] Proven knowledge of financial concepts including cost accounting, activity-based costing, cash flow, NPV, IRR, ROI, etc. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel This position is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship.
