Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Schedule: Full-time preferred; part-time candidates may also be considered Moxie Orthopedic and Balance Center is looking for an energetic, personable, and clinically strong Physical Therapist Assistant to join our growing outpatient practice in Sarasota. This is an excellent opportunity for a PTA who wants to be part of building something—not simply filling a position in a high-volume therapy clinic. Moxie specializes in orthopedic rehabilitation, balance and fall prevention, vestibular rehabilitation, neurological conditions, post-surgical recovery, and work conditioning. Our clinic is still growing, so the ideal candidate will be comfortable combining patient care with some community and physician outreach during lighter portions of the schedule. This may include visiting local physician offices, delivering educational materials, attending community events, assisting with patient follow-up, and helping introduce Moxie’s services to the Sarasota community. This is not a sales position. We are looking for a clinician who enjoys building relationships, representing the clinic professionally, and helping the practice grow. What You’ll Do: Provide skilled physical therapy interventions under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist Carry out individualized plans of care for orthopedic, balance, neurological, and post-surgical patients Document treatments accurately and promptly Communicate effectively with supervising therapists, patients, caregivers, and referral sources Help maintain a positive, engaging, and professional clinic environment Participate in physician and community outreach when the patient schedule has openings Assist with clinic development, patient engagement, and educational initiatives Maintain high standards for patient safety and quality of care. What We’re Looking For: Current Florida Physical Therapist Assistant license Graduate of an accredited PTA program Strong clinical, interpersonal, and communication skills Dependable, organized, and comfortable working independently Friendly and confident when interacting with physicians, office staff, and community partners Genuine interest in outpatient orthopedic and balance rehabilitation Willingness to contribute to the growth of a developing practice Experience with older adults, balance disorders, vestibular conditions, or post-surgical rehabilitation is helpful but not required.
